You want to be where everybody Gnomes your name

Santa Gnome is sad. He feels so anonymous and I really think he needs a name.

My good friend, April, so nicely informed me that garden gnomes originated in Scandinavia so I think that is it only fitting that he gets a nice, strong Scandinavian name.

So, please help him have an identity. Give him a name. Maybe I will even try to figure out a prize for the person who suggests the best name.

LOL Julie you are so funny! Love the bag on his head. I alsmot feel sorry for the poor thing!

Ok, how about "Nissa". That is Scandinavian for "friendly elf".

Or

"Rikard" Means "brave and strong"

"Anders" Manly, courageous.

He's a boy!! A boy can't be named Nissa. Come on, Sarah! Anders was my first thought (great minds think alike) but I'm thinking you have neighbors named Anders. I don't want their heads inflating thinking he is named after them. I will think of something perfect. You just wait.

I'm cracking up that I'm even leaving a comment.
Ok, my suggestion is Anton ( it's Scandinavian) not sure of the meaning. LOL

Oops! Nissa has been disqualified!

Ooh I know...this is going to be the winner right here...name him Edward, if you want it to be Scandinavian, there is "Edvard". Julie would love that! Now where's my prize?

Quimby

A male Scandinavian name that means womanly.

Think about it. The majority of his life will be spent doing girlie girl things anyway. Quimby makes perfect sense.

I don't know Julie...been thinking about this all day, and he looks like a "Balky" to me. I just really like the ring to it "Balky" and you know the literal translation is old man.

I don't know any Scnadinavan names. Can I just say Vernon?

Gustav is my name of choice but I am totally digging Sarah's Edvard idea......

Or....how about Augustus...think Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory...he was the chubby boy that ate tons of candy and fell in the chocolate river.....

Oh I like Balky

Wasn't there some show that had a character named Balky?

Balky is from that old sitcom, "perfect Strangers"! He was from the island of Meepos! Ha ha!

Ok, Madeline wants in on this too. She came up with the name, Zacharias. Because he looks old and wise.
